Linear Motor Application in Auto Parts Industry

Gate coordinate manipulators, mainly composed of linear motors, supplemented by machine vision, achieve actions like pickup, rotation, compression, insertion of dashboard pointers.

Customer demand

·In very small installation space, the compress force must be in control, various rotation angles of pointers must be executed.
·Other solutions are not suitable because of the big bodies, complicated structures, high maintenance cost, big tolerance of compress force, too many parts and so on.
Specifications: continuous compress force 150 N, 200 ms.

Solution

Three linear motors ensure the movement in space of X-axis and Y-axis, one linear rotary motor takes care of the movement along Z-axis and rotation of the shaft.

The drivers have various bus interfaces and modular control programs. This application adopt CANopen bus.

The host computer program can use Lab view, C++, Net. Or you can use other controllers such as PLC and computer card.

Linear motor drivers can support master/slave synchronization control, easy using. No need to use another controller and write synchronization programs.

Linear motors have small sizes and compact designs, needn’t external magnetic or photoelectric grating.

Linear rotary motors integrate linear and rotate motions together, simple structures, small sizes, long serve lives.
